About Me

A Bit About Me
I have been writing songs and gigging/recording in my own name for 10 years but before this I worked for 15 years as a session singer and backing vocalist during which time I gigged across Europe with The Sirens Band and did live Radio 2 sessions with Brian May.
I have got 3 children and when they were small I was working from home as a script writer for theatre companies and doing function gigs in the evening -
so writing by day, singing by night and it was from this the two things merged and I started to write songs.
My songs are a positive take on life, love, loss friendship and family.
My first EP - 'An Idiots Guide to Love' was recorded in Nashville, produced by Grammy Winning Bob Britt and featured a group of top Nashville players. It was released here and went straight to number 5 in the UK Country charts.
My first full album, The Friday Night Club, came out of lockdown and is named after a live facebook stream I started on Friday Nights during that strange time which went on to have nearly 2 million views across the world . The album was recorded at Polyphonic Studios in Gloucestershire, produced by my lovely friend Lukas Drinkwater and released by Absolute (Sony Universal ) .
My Second album 'Good for Roses' comes out on April 19th 2025 On the Absolute Label (Universal/Sony )
Ten years on It turns out I have a lot to say! The challenge of being a songwriter is learning how to say what you need in a way that connects with your audience - I will be working on this skill forever, but so far I have been taught by some of the best, Gretchen Peters, Chris Difford, Mark Cawley, Mike Reid, Paddy Byrne and Rob Davies.
Over my years in the world of music I have laughed and cried, been treated like a Queen and a nobody, warmed up in fancy dressing rooms and public toilets, I have gone down a storm and totally bombed, Its been a rollercoaster!
I am currently gigging around the UK with my wonderful band Andy Evans, Roger Nunn, John Brooker and Harry Whitty - come and find me x

Releases
The Friday Night Club
was released in March 2023 - it is a tribute to a live facebook stream I started during lockdown at 6:30pm every Friday. This began as all gigs stopped, I needed to play, I had new songs I wanted people to hear and, at the time it was the only way to keep going - what I was not prepared for was how The Friday Night Club, which ran for 25 consecutive weeks, would become a community of people who
just wanted to meet up, albeit on a screen. At a very strange, often lonely time for people trying to fill time in the best way possible, The Friday Night Club became somewhere for us all to be on a Friday Night.
The Friday Night Club stream went on to have nearly 2 million views on facebook
The album was recorded at Polyphonic Studios with the brilliant Lukas Drinkwater and a host of fantastic musicians.
